Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their organization in a key leadership role. This is a permanent, long-term hybrid opportunity, designed for a finance professional who will work closely alongside the current Controller to ensure a smooth and structured transition into the role over time. It offers a unique succession planning pathway, providing strong mentorship, continuity, and hands-on exposure to senior-level financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

Oversee financial operations within a high-accountability, audit-heavy environment
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting in alignment with government funding requirements
Support and maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness
Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, on financial planning and reporting
Assist in transitioning financial leadership responsibilities as part of succession planning
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting systems
Provide guidance and support to finance staff and cross-functional teams

Experience & Attributes for Success:

Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) is preferred
Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 5 – 8 years of relevant experience
Proven experience in financial reporting, compliance, and audit preparation
Comfortable working in environments with government funding or strict regulatory requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with senior leadership
Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
