Electric Avenue is a Canadian electric vehicle charging company based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We provide EV charging solutions for commercial, industrial, residential and fleet applications across North America.
As our business grows, we need a detail-oriented operations professional to help manage purchasing, inventory, ERP order entry, supplier coordination and internal order accuracy.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys systems, accuracy, logistics and making sure the right products are available at the right time.
About the Role
The Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator will own the day-to-day operational flow of customer orders, supplier purchase orders, inventory tracking and ERP accuracy.
You will work in Cin7, integrated with QuickBooks Online, and coordinate closely with sales, operations, accounting and the warehouse.
This is mostly an internal operations role, but you will occasionally communicate with customers to support accounts receivable, order coordination or shipping updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders accurately in Cin7
- Enter supplier purchase orders
- Track supplier lead times, backorders and expected delivery dates
- Coordinate shipping and tracking with the warehouse
- Manage ERP records for orders, inventory adjustments and order status
- Support invoice accuracy and ensure orders are marked correctly for invoicing
- Verify supplier invoices and coordinate with accounting
- Help with accounts receivable follow-up, including calling customers when required
- Monitor inventory levels for finished chargers, parts, components, cables and accessories
- Track reorder points and recommend purchase quantities
- Help forecast demand and reduce stockouts
- Support customer support and sales teams with stock and lead-time information
- Attend sales and operations meetings as needed
- Use Cin7, QuickBooks Online, HubSpot, Zendesk, Asana, AWS Connect and email tools
What Success Looks Like
Within 90 days, you should be:
- Fully familiar with customer order entry
- Fully familiar with the shipping coordination process
- Able to mark orders properly for invoicing
- Able to track supplier purchase orders and backorders accurately
- Able to provide reliable stock and lead-time information to the team
- Comfortable working across sales, operations, accounting and warehouse coordination

Required Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing, inventory coordination, order management, logistics, operations or ERP administration
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience entering customer orders, purchase orders or operational records
- Strong comfort working in business systems, ERP software or inventory platforms
- Ability to track multiple orders, suppliers and timelines at once
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working with accounting, sales and operations
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
- Ability to work independently and follow processes carefully
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cin7, QuickBooks Online or similar ERP/accounting systems
- Experience in inventory planning, purchasing coordination or supplier order tracking
- Experience in electrical, manufacturing, distribution, technology, EV charging or clean energy industries
- Experience helping with invoice verification or accounts receivable follow-up
- Experience supporting a warehouse or shipping process

Pay: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
