Position Overview
Detailers are responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle detailing services that meet customer expectations and company standards. This role includes both full-service detailing and express detailing (vacuuming and basic interior surface cleaning). Detailers help ensure that every customer leaves with a clean, polished vehicle and a positive experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform full-service interior and exterior detailing of vehicles (wash, polish, wax, shampoo, deep clean).
- Provide express detailing services, including vacuuming carpets and seats, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Conduct pre- and post-service inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Operate detailing equipment safely (steam cleaners, vacuums, polishers, extractors).
- Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow safety protocols when using equipment and handling chemicals.
- Maintain a clean and organized detailing area.
- Assist with other tasks to support the team as needed.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
- Previous detailing experience required.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is a requirement.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit (can lift, bend, and stand for long periods).
- Team player with good communication skills.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Schedule
- Starting in April Jack's will operate 7 days a week 8am to 6pm.
- Detail Technicians are required to work occasional weekends and will always be scheduled two consecutive days off each week.
- Team members must be available to open for at least one shift per week and close for at least two shifts per week.
Working Environment
Team Members at Jack's Car Spa work in a dynamic and physically engaging environment. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, performing repetitive movements, bending, stooping, and kneeling while cleaning vehicles.
Employees may be exposed to wet, slippery conditions, cleaning agents, noise, and vibration from equipment. Tasks may require handling heavy objects up to 50 lbs, reaching high or low areas, and working in confined spaces such as vehicle interiors.
Attention to safety protocols and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting are essential.
Compensation
Starting at $17.70/hour, plus shared gratuities (tips) distributed equally among eligible detailing staff working each day.
