The Department of Civil Engineering invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2026-27 session.

CIVENG 2B04 - Principles of Environmental Engineering

Lecture day and time:

Monday 8:30-10:20 and Wednesday 8:30-9:20am

Course Description:

Sustainability, ecosystems and climate change; mass balance; reaction kinetics; reactor theory; water quality; water and wastewater treatment; solid waste management; air pollution control.

Three lectures, one tutorial (two hours), one lab (three hours); first term

Required Qualifications:

Applicants should hold a Masters degree, preferably a PhD, in Civil Engineering, with an advanced knowledge in the course subject area.Applicants must have a demonstrated background and thorough understanding of the course topics listed above, as well as demonstrated expertise teaching undergraduate courses. Professional Engineering registration is an asset. Strong communication skills and an ability to work with students on a one-on-one basis are essential.

*Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
