We are looking for reliable, energetic, and engaging Soccer Coaches to work part-time 3 to 15 hours per week, depending on availability. If you are high-energy, enthusiastic, outgoing, and passionate about working with young children and being active, this is the ideal job for you!
About Us: For over 20 years, Little Kickers has been the #1 Children's Soccer Program around the globe, providing young children 18 months to 8 years with a positive introduction to sport via soccer. Our age-appropriate soccer skills and games are taught in a fun and non-competitive environment. Coaches employ their imagination and creativity to deliver the lessons in an engaging and playful atmosphere. Teachers, those enrolled in an ECE program, actors, and youth soccer coaches are a perfect fit for Little Kickers.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead structured and fun soccer sessions following the Little Kickers curriculum.
- Transport and store the equipment and track class attendance.
- Keep classes engaging, energetic, and safe, while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Use your "inner child" to creatively and playfully communicate with children and handle scenarios such as a group of children losing focus.
- Build strong rapport with young participants and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing feedback on their child's progress.
- Adhere to program expectations and performance standards.
- Serve as an enthusiastic brand ambassador for Little Kickers in the local community.
Requirements:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Driver's licence (G or G2) and a reliable access to a car on a regular basis. You will be responsible for transporting and storing an equipment kit. You have to be able to commute within your assigned area (preferably consisting of two or more cities where we operate).
- Experience working with young children.
- Saturday morning shifts are mandatory, including some long weekends if scheduled.
- Ability to consistently work at least one additional assigned shift per week is an advantage: Sunday mornings or afternoons, and/or weeknights from 5 to 8 pm.
- Reliable and able to commit to working every week with limited vacation requests.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality, and a genuine enjoyment of working with children, parents, and co-workers.
- Ability to deliver the lessons in a fun, engaging and playful atmosphere using imagination and creativity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with young children, deliver feedback to parents, and communicate with the management in a timely manner.
- High energy individual who is physically fit and able to coach soccer skills/games with young children for 3-4 hours per shift. Ability to lift and carry equipment bag 30-50 lbs is required.
- Soccer coaching and playing experience is an asset.
What We Offer:
- Compensation: The starting wage is $18.00/hour (training), with opportunities for fast advancement (lead coach) and a pay raise for those that qualify.
- Schedule: This role is part-time with a consistent weekly schedule. Coaching hours per week range from 3 to 15 hours, depending on availability.
