Full job description

We are seeking a RECE with a passion for educating children and an experience working with children of various ages. Come and be a part of our dynamic team! We view children as competent, capable, curious and rich in potential. Research indicates that when children are calm and feel a sense of belonging and well-being they are ready to learn. By building trust and creating supportive, positive and responsive interactions between the children and staff and among the children, learning can take place.

By following the children’s interests they are happy to engage in learning and express their unique ideas and creativity.

Engaging families in the program builds on these positive relationships and supports the child in their healthy growth and development.

We are also fortunate to have partnered with the University of Brighton in the U.K. to be the only child care centre in Canada to implement this program. The Working with Others approach recognizes the importance of relationships as key to providing a safe, secure and accessible learning environment for all children. Its training and support for teachers is guided by 4 fundamental areas.

Rate of Pay

RECE $22.45 regular, $3.15 GOG , $2.00 Annual Increase and $2.00 ENH

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engage in rich learning experiences
Provide a safe, caring and positive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

RECE in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators

MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS:

2 Step TB Skin Test
Updated Immunizations (DPTP, MMR)
Vulnerable Sector Check
Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
