Full job description

AMCL is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our IT team. Working hours 24-30 hrs per week. Some Weekend or after hours may be required to meet Business needs. Successful candidates will join our IT team to support our current IT infrastructure and assist deploying new technology to support the business needs.

Armstrong Milling Co. Ltd. is a family-based business operating in Haldimand County for 40 years. We are committed to providing the best possible customer service and products to an ever-growing industry. With our site running out of Hagersville Ontario we have been able to provide the Canadian wild bird seed market with our own branded products as well as premium custom-blended packaged caged animal and bird seed products.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

· Provide first-level support to end users both local users and remote staff by diagnosing, resolving and documenting software, hardware and network issues

· Maintain and upgrade hardware and software for desktops, laptops, tablets along with other hardware

· Support staff onboarding processes by preparing IT equipment, including account creation, permissions and access granting as required

· Assist with patch management, backups and system monitoring

· Assist with management of network and infrastructure as required

· Coordinate support with outside vendors as required

Secondary responsibilities include:

· Assist with IT projects such as system/infrastructure upgrades, cyber security initiatives and other IT projects

· Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment and assist with asset tracking

· Staying up to date on new technologies

· Decommissioning old hardware

· Write reports based on end user requirements in our ERP system

Skills

· Experience working in Windows operating systems both Server and Desktop, Office 365, and Active Directory

· Experience with deploying hardware such as Cell phones, Computers, printers, scanners and monitors, etc.

· Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)

· Experience with Power Shell and other scripting languages

· Basic Programing knowledge preferred

· Experience with Linux is an asset

· Basic understanding of Virtual Servers configuration, maintenance, migration is an asset

· Knowledge of infrastructure hardening techniques and implementation of cybersecurity measures is an asset.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Comfortable with working at heights and on ladders

· Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints

· Effective communicator

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail

· A valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle

· Strong problem-solving and customer service skills

· Positive attitude toward teamwork and following established protocols.

Education:

· High school diploma is required but College or higher education in IT or Technology preferred

· 1+ years of experience in the IT field supporting end user is preferred

CONDITIONS:

· Full benefits after 90-day probation period

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
