Job description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work directly alongside a Journeyman Electrician, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in both residential and commercial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice who wants to expand their electrical knowledge, gain real-world experience, and grow within a professional, safety-focused electrical company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Journeyman Electricians in installing wiring, conduit, and electrical components for new construction, renovations, and service work.
Support the mounting of device boxes, fixtures, and equipment according to electrical drawings and code requirements.
Troubleshoot electrical issues under supervision, ensuring safe and effective solutions.
Maintain a clean, organized job site, keeping tools, materials, and equipment ready for use.
Gather, transport, and prepare materials needed for daily operations.
Adhere to company safety standards and all Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and Ontario Electrical Code regulations.
Communicate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and clients to ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Registered Electrical Apprentice
Residential experience – familiarity with rough-in wiring, lighting layouts, and service upgrades.
Commercial experience – exposure to conduit runs, distribution panels, and lighting systems.
Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
Must possess personal hand tools suitable for electrical work.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn from experienced electricians.
