Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any suspicious activities are reported promptly.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure safety within the facility.
Assist visitors and employees as needed, ensuring a welcoming environment while maintaining security protocols.
Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security breaches for management review.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary during investigations or emergencies.

Requirements

Previous experience in law enforcement or loss prevention is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with the public.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally while making quick decisions.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
Physical fitness is essential; candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
Use of Force Certification Required (Able to make physical arrests
Physically strong
Trained in verbal De-Escalation
