Position: Senior Structural Design Engineer
Location: Saint John, Moncton, or Fredericton, NB
Department: Buildings Engineering
We’re seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our growing team in New Brunswick. This role offers the opportunity to work on municipal, industrial, and commercial projects across Atlantic Canada and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports for structural design projects.
Design structural framing systems using steel, concrete, and wood elements .
Perform structural calculations for existing and new structural framing systems.
Complete facility condition assessments , feasibility studies, and design briefs.
Conduct site visits to review existing building systems and review progress of construction.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and respond to internal/external project inquiries.
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with APEGNB or eligible for registration.
Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering with 8+ years of experience in building design.
Strong knowledge of National Building Code of Canada , and CSA standards .
Proficiency in Revit/BIM ( AutoCAD experience is an asset).
Familiarity with specification writing .
Familiarity with structural design software , such as ETABS, RISA, and S-FRAME .
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office ; knowledge of AI tools is an asset.
