MCG Careers is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Foothills team as an Administrative Assistant/Information Resource Specialist (IRS) supporting our Okotoks and High River offices.

Job Title:

Administrative Assistant/Information Resource Specialist for the Foothills Career and Employment Centre – Maternity Leave Contract (12 – 18 months)

Primary Purpose of the Job:

To provide front-end client service in the Information Resource Centre, including employment and education-related research, document completion, and technology challenges; to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all to be in; report to and provide administrative support to the project manager.

Who You Are:

Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Someone who enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering excellent client service
A strong communicator - you communicate professionally and confidently, both verbally and in writing
Reliable - proactive, dependable, and able to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
A problem-solver - you respond to client needs with professionalism and empathy

What You’ll Bring:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Office Administration
Post-secondary education in a related area
Experience working in a client-based industry
Experience handling sensitive information and handling personnel matters with discretion
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment
Communication and problem-solving skills, exceptional customer service, and people skills
Experience with Compass and/or Mobius is an asset

What You’ll Do:

Handle administrative tasks, including responding to Job Seeker inquiries in person and via phone, email, and social media
Schedule appointments, assist with registration, and conduct preliminary eligibility assessments
Assist with month-end report preparation as required
Database entry and management
Help create a positive, energetic, client-centered environment
