JD&C Services Ltd. is currently expanding our team of Class 1 Drivers. The Class 1 Driver has scheduled, year-round work and is based out of Hinton, Ab. Applicants with relevant experience will have the opportunity to assist with our potable, production, and service hauls. The job will be permanent on a set rotation of days on and days off. All applicants must have:
- A Valid Canadian Class 1 Driver’s License that is not restricted to automatic transmissions;
- Ability to operate a manual 18 speed transmission;
- Good communication skills;
- Basic mechanical knowledge;
- The following valid oilfield certificates – Intermediate 1st Aid, H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation;
- Experience hauling dangerous goods (TDG);
- Experience with dynamic shifting loads (fluid, aggregates, cement, logs etc.) in Canada (preferred);
- Experience utilizing apps and software to complete paperwork an asset;
- Canadian oil and gas industry experience is preferred but not essential;
- Canadian resource road / logging road and mountain driving experience.
*Candidates must be able to perform shift work (days and nights), be able to work in all weather conditions, and must be able to pass a post offer, drug and alcohol screening and a driver evaluation. There is no LOA and you must be a Canadian resident or PR.
Job Details & Responsibilities:
- Operate / drive various tank truck configurations (tractor trailer, body job and pup);
- Daily equipment maintenance;
- Follow detailed instructions;
- Complete all required paperwork;
- Work independently and/or in a team setting;
- Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and practices;
- Promote a safe work environment.
- This is NOT a camp based position;
- JD&C does not allow living in the truck unless the specific job requires.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Experience:
- snow covered, icy, wet or muddy offroad conditions?: 2 years (required)
- Dangerous Goods(TDG) in Canada: 3 years (preferred)
- CANADIAN Class 1 logging or bush road driving: 3 years (required)
- competently operating an 18 spd manual transmission : 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Unrestricted Canadian Class 1 Drivers License (required)
