Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant food industry environment while honing your culinary and management skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
Support the implementation of food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage kitchen operations during shifts in the absence of the Head Chef
Coordinate with serving staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer experience
Train new team members on food preparation, safety procedures, and restaurant standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal offerings
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Experience in restaurant management or hospitality is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and management
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Prior restaurant experience within the food industry is essential
