Husky Technologies is a global leader in Injection Molding Manufacturing, committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. Based in Bolton, Canada, we are seeking a Finance Director to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in providing financial leadership for our Operations and Supply Chain divisions, working closely with various functions including Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality, and Central Operational Support.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of our Operations & Supply Chain, ensuring that financial goals are met and that financial strategies align with the company's broader objectives. Reporting to the VP Finance, FP&A, you will serve as the right-hand finance partner to the Chief Operating Officer. This role will be based in Bolton, Canada. With five direct reports and a team of ~10 individuals based in Bolton and Luxembourg, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's financial performance.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the Operations and Supply Chain divisions.
- Provide financial guidance and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide monthly financial reports to the executive team.
- Lead the review and analysis of month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Identify and analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, insights into the drives for variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the underlying factors contributing to financial performance.
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, making recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Work closely with the executive team to refine financial strategies based on month-end and year-end insights.

2. Cost Management:
- Transform current costing and methodology standards to improve transparency to product margins, life cycle costing and governance.
- Data and process design- Defining costing rules, master data requirements, controls, reporting definitions, and system-enabled workflows.
- Transformation accountability- Owning roadmap, requirements, testing, change management, adoption, and benefits realization.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures across various aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and production.
- Develop and monitor cost reduction initiatives and targets, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals.
Monitor and report on key cost-related performance indicators to the executive team, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

3. Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with the Leadership team to develop long-term financial strategies for the Operation and Supply Chain divisions.
- Transformation accountability- Owning roadmap, requirements, testing, change management, adoption, and benefits realization.
Assess financial impacts of potential investments in supply chain infrastructure, technology, and capabilities to improve cost and lead time.

4. Cross Functional Leadership:
Ability to lead Finance, Operations, IT, Service, Commercial, and regional teams through process/system change..
5. Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with Supply Chain leaders to establish appropriate inventory targets, and improve inventory forecasting.
Analyze the financial impact of inventory-related decisions and provide recommendations for improvement.

6. Financial Support CAPEX (Capital Expenditures):
- Collaborate with the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) team to assess the financial feasibility and impact of proposed capital projects within the Supply Chain division.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessments for CAPEX investments, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and business cases.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide decision-making on CAPEX projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and optimal return on investment (ROI).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior finance role within a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Systems / ERP capability
- Hands-on or leadership experience with ERP costing modules, project accounting, service costing, data structures, integrations, and reporting architecture.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
