About Us
Praher Plastics Canada Ltd. is a manufacturing company based in Barrie, Ontario, specializing in high-quality plastic components and solutions for industrial and pool applications.
We are currently building the next generation of talent for our Canadian organization. Our Graduate Talent Program is designed for motivated university and college graduates who want to learn how a manufacturing business really works — from operations and supply chain to finance, sales, engineering, quality, and continuous improvement.
This is not a standard entry-level job. It is a structured development program with hands-on training, cross-functional exposure, and a clear path into a permanent role within our organization where you have the possibility to grow and make an impact from day one.
The Program
During the program, you will rotate through key areas of our business, such as:
- Operations and production
- Supply chain and planning
- Quality management
- Engineering and process improvement
- Finance and controlling
- Customer service and sales operations
- Data analytics and business systems
- HR and organizational development
You will receive structured training, work directly with experienced managers, and support real business improvement projects. After successful completion of the program, you will transition into a permanent role based on your strengths, interests, and business needs.
What You Will Do
As part of the Graduate Talent Program, you will:
- Learn how a manufacturing company operates from end to end
- Support improvement projects in production, planning, quality, finance, sales, or administration
- Analyze data and help improve processes, reporting, and decision-making
- Work with different teams across the business
- Participate in training sessions, mentoring, and regular feedback meetings
- Take ownership of assigned projects and present results to management
- Build the foundation for a future specialist, coordinator, analyst, or leadership role
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for graduates who are practical, curious, reliable, and willing to learn.
You should bring:
- A recent university or college degree/diploma in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- A hands-on mindset and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
- Interest in business processes, operations, technology, and continuous improvement
- Good Excel skills; experience with Power BI, ERP systems, databases, or automation tools is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude, accountability, and willingness to take feedback
- Winners Mentality
Previous full-time work experience is not required. Co-op, internship, part-time work, project work, or practical college/university experience is considered an asset.
We offer:
- A structured 15 month development program
- Exposure to multiple business areas
- Mentoring by experienced managers
- Practical training in manufacturing, business processes, systems, and improvement methods
- Real responsibility from the beginning
- Clear feedback and development discussions
- A path into a permanent role after successful completion
- Competitive compensation and benefits
- Opportunity to grow with a company that is actively modernizing its processes, systems, and organization
- No Blame Culture - We focus on solutions instead.
