Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster developmental growth through innovative teaching methods. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and colleagues to support the social, emotional, and educational development of each child in our care.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and individual student needs.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members.
Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or working with individuals with disabilities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and behavioral observations.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Ensure safety and cleanliness of the classroom environment at all times.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.

Skills

Proficiency in English; bilingual skills such as French are a plus.
Strong background in childcare, early childhood education, and teaching methodologies.
Experience working with children of various ages, including those with special needs or disabilities.
Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Competent in computer operation and using educational software or tools for documentation and planning.
Classroom experience demonstrating effective classroom management and organizational skills.
Strong time management abilities to balance lesson planning, activities, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Leadership qualities to guide children’s development while fostering independence and confidence.
Writing skills for documenting progress reports and communicating with families professionally.
Organizational skills necessary for maintaining classroom materials, schedules, and records effectively. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ lives while working in a supportive team environment committed to excellence in early childhood education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00-$34.00 per hour
