Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and excellent communication skills, with experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred. This position offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for guests and contribute to a positive dining experience.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waitlist efficiently
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar software
Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
Manage guest flow during busy hours, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons
Assist with special requests or accommodations as needed to enhance guest satisfaction

Skills

Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Professional phone etiquette for reservation handling and guest inquiries
Experience with hotel or restaurant industry standards is a plus
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: $15.00-$30.65 per hour
