About the position
The Terminal Operator has the responsibility to execute all operational and administration procedures concerning receipt, storage, transfer and shipping of petroleum products at the terminal, as per plans and according to established regulations, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the terminal. Operations will be performed according to Valero Safety and Health Policies and guided by Valero Life-Saving Rules. Terminal operator will engage in scheduled maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, personnel health and safety, and protection of assets and the environment.
Responsabilities
Execute all operational activities related to the receipt, transfer, and shipment of petroleum products in transit;- Ensure all operations are carried out safely and in accordance with established procedures;
- Conduct visual inspections of terminal and pipeline equipment to ensure operational integrity;
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protection regulations;
- Perform equipment maintenance according to established schedules to support the reliability of terminal equipment;
- Complete administrative duties, including report preparation, record keeping, and transportation-related accounts payable processing.
Qualifications
- College diploma in a technical discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment;
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong communication skills
Work Schedule
- Regular weekly schedule (42 hours)
- Available to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days, nights, and weekends).
