About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to join our Mechanical Division, working in our Kamloops office. The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing IPH's entire quality program, leading and managing it through regular audits; process and policy updates; and ongoing training. The role covers all disciplines throughout IPH, including but not limited to Industrial Piping, HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Prefabrication. Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Quality Manager drives continuous improvement by collaborating with operational leaders to enhance consistency, efficiency, and overall service excellence. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping IPH innovate and evolve as an industry leader and employer of choice.
As an IPH leader, you will provide strong people leadership by developing, coaching and mentoring team leaders to enhance performance, build capacity and foster an accountable and high-performing work environment.
Leaders support operational performance by guiding teams and fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
Quality Strategy & Standards
- Develop and implement company-wide quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Own quality standards across all field operations and proactively develop policies that prevent issues.
- Ensure alignment with industry codes, regulations, and client specifications.
- Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain our Class A Boiler & Pressure Vessel certificate with Technical Safety BC (TSBC), ensuring ongoing compliance with the Power Engineers, Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Refrigeration Safety Regulation.
- Maintain IPH's TSBC Gas Contractor License, including surety bond requirements, permit compliance, and ensuring all gas work is performed by appropriately certified gas fitters in accordance with the Safety Standards Act and Gas Safety Regulation.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Conduct audits and inspections across construction projects, service work and operations.
- Own internal and external audit readiness and field inspection programs.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and identify trends or areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with installation standards, service protocols, and project specifications.
- Maintain quality assurance and control (QAC) programs for pipe fabrication, including maintaining weld records and supporting the development of turnover indexes and final turnover documents.
Incident, NCR & Corrective Action Management
- Own response to quality incidents and non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions are implemented.
- Analyze defects, rework, and service issues to prevent recurrence.
- Track and report on quality issues and resolution effectiveness.
Training, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure employees are trained and competent to meet quality standards.
- Support training initiatives to improve workmanship and adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with Construction, Service, and Operations teams to reinforce quality expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance consistency, efficiency, and service excellence.
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable direct reports to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Promote a culture of accountability and pride in workmanship across the organization.
- Performs other related duties, consistent with the role, skills and level of responsibility as required.
About You
- 3+ years of experience in quality management, preferably with mechanical experience in piping and welding.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required; occasional travel to project sites and partner offices is expected.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation standards across HVAC, process piping, HDPE and steel pipelines, plumbing, sheet metal, and prefabrication operations.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach performance and guide multidisciplinary teams and support staff development.
- Highly skilled with project and office software, with openness to learning, sharing knowledge and improving digital practices; Procore experience is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration, coordination, change management and issue resolution.
- Adaptable and highly organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.

Pay: $95,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
