Overview
Afrofusion Restaurant – Kamloops, BC

Afrofusion is a modern African-Western restaurant focused on culture, quality, and community. We don’t just serve food, we create an experience. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking team member who can support both front-of-house and kitchen operations.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, providing excellent guest experiences through immpeccable customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

This position emphasizes teamwork, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Front of House (Server):

Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly attitude
Take orders accurately and efficiently
Serve food and beverages in a timely manner
Maintain cleanliness of dining area and tables
Handle customer concerns professionally

Back of House (Kitchen Support):

Assist with basic food prep and plating
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
Wash dishes and support kitchen flow during busy periods
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Support the team wherever needed

What We’re Looking For

Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team player who is willing to help across roles
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to stay organized and clean
Previous restaurant experience is an asset but not required

Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Flexible availability (evenings and weekends required)
Food Safe certification is an asset
