Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for assisting customers. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail or sales are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital transactions
Handle cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and sales
Maintain merchandising standards and ensure product displays are organized and appealing
Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Assist customers with product selection, offering technical sales support when needed
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Support inventory management and restocking efforts as required
Uphold organizational policies to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Familiarity with POS systems and retail merchandising standards
Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through upselling techniques
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
Multilingual capabilities are considered an asset for serving diverse customer bases
