Full job description

DekStar is looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a receptionist. We are a rapidly growing company that will rely on your personality and skill set to help continue our growth and provide a great welcome to all our clients in the showroom. This job will consist of a variety of tasks both customer facing and behind the scenes to support our general manager in the day to day operations of the company. Knowledge of quickbooks accounting software will be considered an asset.

If you have a great outgoing personality and thrive in a creative and fast paced construction environment then you will be the perfect fit for our team. Experience with MS Word and Windows operating systems is preferred. Previous experience in the construction industry will be considered an asset but is not required.

The showroom receptionist is key to a smooth running business. The areas of responsibility are as follows:

General Responsibilities

Greeting all customers when they come into the showroom and helping answer any general inquiries
Maintaining a clean and orderly showroom
Answering and directing all phone and social media inquiries
Creating signage for showroom and job sites
Office supply inventory maintenance
Data entry for existing and new clients
Assisting with marketing events as required
Receiving customer contracts and payments
Sorting ingoing and outgoing mail
Assisting with data entry and scheduling tasks
Vehicle maintenance and inspection tracking
Shipping and Receiving duties as required

Bookkeeping & Accounting Responsibilities

Data and receipt entry as required
Filing of invoices and receipts as required

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Kamloops, BC V2C 5P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
