Build the Future with Us
Join WSP’s Land Development and Municipal Engineering team in Kamloops, BC as a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) and help shape the infrastructure that supports growing communities. This role offers hands‑on exposure to the full project lifecycle—from concept and design through construction—while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about mentorship, technical excellence, and community impact.
Your Impact
- Support the design and analysis of civil engineering solutions for municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to design reports, technical memoranda, and calculations that inform sound engineering decisions.
- Assist in the design of linear infrastructure , including watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, pump stations, and associated civil works.
- Partner with Project Managers to deliver projects from concept through construction , supporting quality, schedule, budget, and risk objectives.
- Participate in construction services , including field reviews, progress reporting, and contract administration support.
- Help prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents that clearly communicate design intent.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, client‑focused solutions that positively impact communities.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Eligibility for, or registration as, an Engineer ‑ in ‑ Training (EIT) with EGBC.
- Foundational knowledge of municipal infrastructure design , including water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway systems.
- Experience or coursework related to civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar).
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to support reports, memos, and design documentation .
- Willingness to participate in field reviews and construction support activities as required.
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute within a team‑based environment.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 – $88,400
MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $60,300 – $80,000
