Full job description

Human Resources Manager – Kapuskasing, ON
Relocation Package Available

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our mill operation in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Reporting to the Mill Manager, you will provide strategic and operational HR leadership while supervising two direct reports.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
CHRP designation is considered an asset
Strong leadership, employee relations, and team management skills
Excellent communication skills in English; French is an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in a unionized environment is preferred

Key Responsibilities

Lead all HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, labour relations, compensation, benefits, training, and workforce development
Supervise and mentor two HR team members
Manage union and non-union employee relations, grievance processes, discipline matters, and collective agreement administration
Participate in collective bargaining and represent the company in arbitration proceedings
Oversee employee benefit, pension, retirement, and wellness programs
Manage recruitment, onboarding, background checks, and workforce planning
Advise managers on HR policies, performance management, and employee development
Support training, succession planning, talent management, and performance appraisal programs
Maintain compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and labour agreements
Manage HR budgets and relationships with external service providers
Promote a positive, safe, and collaborative workplace culture

Pay: $115,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
