Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Framing Carpenter & a Helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building structures and possess a strong understanding of construction techniques. As a Framer, you will be responsible for constructing frameworks for buildings, ensuring accuracy and quality in alignment with project specifications.

Responsibilities

Construct and assemble wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete framing tasks.
Perform heavy lifting as required to position materials and structures.
Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure timely project completion.
Assist in concrete finishing tasks as needed for foundation work.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Skills

Have at least 5 years of experience as a framing carpenter
Must be able to manage a crew & run site independently.
Be able to work in high pace environments.
Be able to layout walls, floors & trusses.
Experience with Prefabricated wall panels is an asset.
Strong ability to read and understand blueprints.
Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques is a plus.
Familiarity with Commercial & Industrial wood frame building is an asset.
