The Role
As a Landscape Maintenance Technician, you will work alongside a Team Lead to deliver high-quality maintenance services across residential and commercial properties.
You will be responsible for executing maintenance work while also supporting daily operational readiness and workflow efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
Landscape Maintenance Execution
- Perform mowing, pruning, weeding, fertilization, irrigation checks, and seasonal cleanups
- Maintain company-defined quality standards and horticultural best practices
- Work efficiently in varying weather conditions
- Perform physically demanding outdoor work consistently and safely
Operational Support
- Maintain trailer organization and tool inventory
- Assist with site workflow coordination
- Support onboarding and skill development of newer crew members
- Contribute to daily job planning and execution standards
Safety & Professional Conduct
- Operate all equipment safely
- Follow PPE requirements at all times
- Maintain professional conduct on client properties
- Support company safety policies and procedures
Leadership Development Pathway
This position is designed as the developmental step toward Landscape Maintenance Team Lead.
Eligibility for consideration for advancement includes:
- Successful completion of approved horticultural coursework
- Completion of IPM Certification (company funded)
- Demonstrated truck and trailer driving proficiency
- Consistent and competent use of company systems
- Sustained high performance, reliability, and accountability
- Operational need within the organization
Advancement is performance-based and not automatic.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience
Landscape maintenance experience preferred.
Outdoor labour or construction experience considered an asset.
Work Ethic
Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of sustained outdoor work.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 50+ lbs.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Professionalism
Strong communication skills.
Team-first mindset.
Willingness to be coached and developed.
Technology Comfort
Able to use app-based systems for job documentation (training provided).
