We use passion and innovation to create Smarter Laundry Solutions for large healthcare systems across North America. We provide professional healthcare laundry services and a comprehensive range of reusable textiles, including reusable surgical products, designed to support patient care at hospitals and long-term care facilities. We own and operate highly efficient regional laundry plants, including the largest plant in North America.

About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Sr. Production Manager leads the day-to-day production of the laundry plant and drives process improvement initiatives across all areas of productivity and production, working with the production team, Production Manager and Supervisor hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

Works with the production team.
Directs, coaches, and trains the production team by setting priorities, monitoring performance KPI's, reviewing results, and implementing action plans.
Communicates and monitors daily output requirements throughout the shift and actively works to ensure they are met.
Monitors output against demand forecast and adjusts workforce and linen supply to ensure adequate supply.
Uses continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) to improve efficiency, grounded in first-hand knowledge of how the floor actually runs.
Integrates health & safety into all aspects of production in accordance with the Workers Compensation Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, and all other relevant safety legislation.
Owns overall performance management of production staff, including performance improvement plans and development plans.
Reviews operations daily and initiates action as required to meet financial, operational, and growth objectives.
Collaborates with customer service, maintenance, and transportation to ensure timely delivery that meets customer order demand.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma in Business or equivalent.
Minimum five years in a managerial or supervisory role within manufacturing/production environment; previous experience within a commercial/industrial laundry is considered an asset.
Minimum five year's experience in production management and operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven experience developing and implementing process improvement in a production environment.
A hands-on leadership style with a genuine willingness to work alongside the team on the floor.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated leadership ability working directly with a broader management team.
Working knowledge of the following applications: Microsoft Office, ADP Payroll Systems, Microsoft Outlook.
Working knowledge of relevant workplace legislation and WorkSafeBC requirements.

Hours and Working Conditions:

Salary Range: $80k - $90k
Onsite: 40 hours per week.
We operate on a 7-day week schedule 365 days per year.
Working in the vicinity of industrial laundry equipment and temperature extremes; must be physically able to stand for long periods.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
