Exciting opportunities are currently available for full-time, high-performing Red Seal or Journeyman Carpenters to join our fast-growing company. If you want to work for a company who treats you right, join us!

Who We Are:

We are a locally owned, full-service General Contractor based in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for Red Seal or Journeyman Carpenters with experience in all stages of construction including framing, forming, exterior and interior finishing. We want someone who takes pride in their workmanship and who isn’t afraid of hard work and solving problems. We want someone who is punctual, accountable and an all-around good person.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine project and material requirements
Prepare project layouts in conformance with projects specifications and building code requirements
Perform all on-site carpentry tasks with confidence including demolition and material disposal, concrete formwork, framing (wood and steel), exterior finishing,, door and window installation, building exterior decks, fences, retaining walls and stairs, flooring installation, and cabinetry and trim installation
Cutting, shaping, joining, fitting and assembling materials (wood, composites, metal) to specified measurements using hand and power tools.
Perform work safely and in accordance with WorkSafeBC requirements
Train, mentor and supervise apprentices and labourers.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Meet deadlines with minimal supervision

What you bring to the job:

5+ years of related work experience in residential and/or commercial construction
Valid Red Seal (preferred) or Journeyman Certification
Occupational First Aid and Fall Protection tickets considered an asset.
Basic carpentry tools
Experience with fibre cement siding considered an asset.
Ability to travel to various work locations in the Okanagan Valley
Ability to interpret technical specifications (blueprints, drawings, site instructions, cut sheets).
Current and detailed knowledge of national and provincial building codes, regulations and safety standards.
Ability to effectively communicate, train and monitor others on job related tasks.
Strong work ethic, reliable and attention to detail.
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs.
