Practice Details:

Fantastic opportunity for a general adult Psychiatrist to join the expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. Discover the rewards of career satisfaction working within a strong culture of teamwork while delivering excellence in care! Our group of Psychiatrists provides service to KGHâ€™s 30 bed inpatient unit, 6 bed Adult MH Intensive Care Unit, consults to the medical/surgical units and the emergency department, as well as maintain a community based practice. Duties will include, but not be limited to, patient assessment and treatment, collaboration with clinicians and managers, and assistance with the development and maintenance of appropriate programs, policies, and procedures.

This collaborative team treats the serious and persistent mental illness population with intensive case management support. In addition to this, there are multiple opportunities in supporting the Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) clinic or the broader community through telepsychiatry. This role also offers teaching opportunities to medical students and residents as KGH is affiliated with UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program.

Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)
Eligible for licensure with CPSBC

Estimated Gross Income

Combined Fee for Service plus Sessions: $250,000 - $400,000, plus MOCAP
