We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Building Engineering Division to work out of our Kingston office.

Responsibilities
- Work within a project team to deliver top quality structural rehabilitation and building envelope restoration projects, including replacement of roof systems, windows, doors, skylights and curtainwall systems to clients;
- Assist with building envelope performance, such as air/water leak testing, thermographic survey, High and Low-volt ELD scanning and contributing to the field evaluations as well as technical writing, preparation of quantities, and budget estimates;
- Undertake site reviews of construction projects to help monitor conformance with specifications, quality of workmanship, budget, and schedule;
- Assist with building envelope restoration projects including air barrier repairs, insulation and building performance improvements, cladding replacement and repairs, to clients;
- Assist with the tendering process, preparing tender notifications, attending tender meetings, preparing bid summary and recommendations;
- Help with preparing specifications, including editing technical sections and working with CAD staff to sketch details;
- Assist with administering construction contracts, including preparing CCDC contracts, preparing payment certificates, change orders, certificates for substantial performance, building permit applications;
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and manufacturers to assist with responding to project related inquiries;
- Participate in project meetings with clients and contractors and contribute to presentations and prepare meeting minutes;
- Contribute to development of internal practice systems within the Building Restoration group;
- Participate and contribute to internal and external technical training sessions;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technician, Architectural Technology, or Architectural Technician required;
- 1-3 years of related work experience (including co-op experience);
- Proficient user of AutoCAD;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills;
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and adaptability to shifting priorities;
- Strong organizational skills with minimum supervision;
- On occasions must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Working with colleagues and sub-consultants;
- A team player approach to problem solving;
- Experience working at heights;
- Candidate will be required to work from suspended work platforms and lifts from time to time;
- Required to have access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license for travel to project sites. Mileage will be reimbursed for work related travel.
- The following additional qualifications are viewed as an asset and may contribute to the final decision between candidates:
- Thermography – Level 1 or Level 2;
- Experience with IO CAD Audit is an asset;
