Job Overview
Romava Corp. is looking for a Construction Labourer / Epoxy Flooring Installer to join our growing team in Kingston, Ontario.
We install high-quality epoxy flooring, concrete coatings, polished concrete, and specialty resinous flooring systems for commercial, industrial, and residential clients. This is a hands-on, physical, detail-focused role with room to grow into a skilled installer position.
We are not looking for someone who simply wants to show up and collect a paycheque. We are looking for someone special — someone reliable, upbeat, honest, self-motivated, teachable, and proud of doing good work.
You do not need to be an epoxy flooring expert. We can train the right person. But you must bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, personal responsibility, and the ability to consistently show up prepared, on time, and ready to work.
Our culture matters. We have a good team, high standards, and we are careful about who we bring in.
Duties
Prepare concrete surfaces by grinding, vacuuming, scraping, cleaning, patching, and repairing floors before coatings are installed.
Assist with the installation of epoxy flooring, flake systems, quartz systems, concrete coatings, polished concrete, urethane, polyaspartic, and other specialty flooring systems.
Help with job-site setup, masking, taping, protection of walls, doors, equipment, and client property.
Mix materials, move tools and supplies, and support senior installers during each stage of the job.
Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, vacuums, mixers, rollers, squeegees, and other flooring equipment.
Keep job sites clean, organized, safe, and professional throughout the project.
Follow instructions carefully, ask good questions, and learn the proper way to complete each task.
Take care of company tools, vehicles, materials, and equipment.
Work as part of a team and contribute to a positive, productive crew environment.
Qualifications
Valid Ontario driver’s licence is mandatory and required.
Clean driving abstract is required or must be obtainable.
Reliable transportation to our Kingston shop and job sites is required.
Construction, labour, trades, flooring, concrete, painting, landscaping, roofing, carpentry, renovation, warehouse, farm, mechanical, or other hands-on work experience is preferred.
Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, kneeling, bending, grinding, cleaning, prepping, and working on your feet for long periods.
Must be available for flexible construction hours, including some evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional out-of-town or overnight work when required.
Must be honest, reliable, respectful, and accountable.
Must be upbeat, coachable, and willing to learn a specialized trade.
Must be a self-starter who looks for what needs to be done instead of waiting to be told every small task.
Must be responsible with tools, vehicles, materials, client property, and job-site safety.
The right person will take pride in their work, show up prepared, handle correction well, and want to build a long-term future with a strong company.
This position is a great opportunity for someone with construction or hands-on work experience who wants to learn a specialized trade and grow with a company that values quality, character, teamwork, and professionalism.
