Role Description
LumenPath Psychotherapy is seeking a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our team.
This is an in-person part-time position based in Belleville, Ontario, with flexibility for scheduling the appointments. The successful candidate will provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing evidence-based psychotherapy, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with clients to support meaningful therapeutic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy services.
- Minimum 5-10 Hrs weekly commitment
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Adhere to all ethical, professional, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain clinical competency.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) licensed and in good standing with their Ontario regulatory college.
- Master's degree in Psychotherapy, Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Strong foundation in psychology, mental health, counselling, and psychotherapy.
- Proficiency in relationship counselling and experience addressing interpersonal challenges.
- Understanding of mental health conditions and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication, empathy, rapport-building, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Commitment to ethical and professional practice standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience following completion of a Master's degree.
- Minimum 2–3 years of direct psychotherapy or counselling experience.
- Training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-informed approaches would be an asset.
- Experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
- Experience providing couples counselling and relationship therapy.
- Experience conducting mental health assessments, treatment planning, and risk assessments.
- Multilingual abilities and experience working with diverse populations are considered assets.
