We are currently seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development & Admissions Specialist to join our Kingston campus team.
Position Overview
As a Business Development & Admissions Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting prospective students throughout their educational journey. You will engage with individuals exploring career training opportunities, provide guidance on available programs and funding options, and help them make informed decisions about their future.
In addition to admissions responsibilities, you will represent the college within the local community by building relationships with employers, community organizations, employment service providers, and referral partners throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities Student Admissions
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct consultations to assess career goals, educational needs, and training options.
- Provide information on programs, admissions requirements, tuition, and available funding opportunities.
- Educate prospective students on government-funded training options, including Better Jobs Ontario, WSIB retraining programs, employer-sponsored training, and other funding pathways where applicable.
- Schedule and conduct campus tours, virtual appointments, and information sessions.
- Guide applicants through the admissions and enrolment process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the student lifecycle.
- Follow up with prospective students and provide ongoing support throughout the decision-making process.
Business Development & Community Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, Employment Ontario service providers, and referral partners.
- Participate in networking events, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives.
- Promote career training opportunities and funding programs available to eligible students.
- Develop awareness of Academy of Learning Career College programs within the local community.
- Support initiatives that strengthen community engagement, student recruitment, and partnership development.
- Assist prospective students in understanding available funding resources and referral processes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support.
- Build trust and rapport with prospective students and community partners.
- Maintain consistent communication throughout the admissions process.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming campus environment.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum three years of experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, admissions, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative sales abilities.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience using CRM systems and other business software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience in admissions, education, training, staffing, recruitment, or consultative sales.
- Knowledge of Better Jobs Ontario, WSIB programs, Employment Ontario services, or other government-funded training initiatives.
- Experience building partnerships within the local community.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
