within our treatment teams. Hatts Off provides person centered residential treatment services
to youth and adults. Locations include Hamilton area, Cambridge & Stratford.

As a psychotherapist/ mental health counselor your responsibilities include:
● Conducting individual sessions with youth and adults in person and virtually.
● Maintaining accurate and professional clinical records
● Possessing current membership/ registration with the professional discipline by college
eg. College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, Ontario College of Social
Workers
● Having experience and knowledge of best practices supporting youth and adults living
with complex mental health issues including historical trauma, addiction, family issues,
disordered attachment and varying degrees of cognitive impairment. In addition,
experience working together with individuals with ASD and FASD is an asset.
● Demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to gain trusting rapport and overcome
setbacks with the therapeutic relationship
● Strong organizational skills and time management skills; to work well independently
● Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and actively participating regular
planning meetings
● Familiarity with the Mental Health Act, PHIPA, Health Care Consent Act and other
relevant legislation
● Proficient report writing and presentation skills
● Commitment to participating in monthly clinical supervision with the therapy team
● Successful candidates must submit a clear criminal records check and vulnerable sector
check
