Job Description:
This role requires a strategic, analytically-minded professional who can transform complex compensation data into actionable insights for senior leadership. You'll combine strong technical capabilities with critical thinking to drive continuous improvement, identify process efficiencies, and support business decisions through rigorous financial analysis and reporting.
Develop, maintain, and manage Sales Incentive Plans (SIP), including monthly, quarterly, and annual payment cycles across several distinct programs
Design and administer the GRS Partner Bonus program for intermediaries (advisors/brokers) to support retention and new sales incentives
Extract, validate, and analyze SIP data from Salesforce and other sources; run reports to verify participant activities and credit toward targets; prepare quarterly statements and annual payments
Create compensation insights, performance metrics, and reporting dashboards for Finance and Business Development Leadership teams
Analyze GRS sales, terminations, retentions, pricing, and client profitability trends; support annual time studies and cost-to-service exercises
Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic support for compensation program assessments and business planning initiatives
Support BD/Finance annual planning to ensure alignment of SIP targets, initiatives, and deliverables
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic planning, business cases, and ad hoc requests
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Math, or related field
Strong Excel proficiency including ability to debug macros; ability to work with and derive insights from large, complex datasets
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail with strong analytical mindset
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information to senior leadership
Exposure to and interest in AI tools and capabilities to help drive process innovation and efficiency
Experience with financial analysis, modeling, reporting, or related compensation/bonus program administration is an asset
Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation and prioritization skills
Willingness to work collaboratively with senior management (VP, AVP, RVP levels) and across business functions

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
