Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will have experience in with paediatrics and possess strong case management skills to coordinate patient care effectively. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients’ communication and swallowing abilities while working within a collaborative medical environment.

This clinic is located in Listowel Ontario. You have the ability to choose your own hours

Duties

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing disorders.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Document assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately in medical records.
Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and swallowing safety.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.

Experience

Experience with pediatric populations is a plus, especially in settings involving paediatrics.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings is essential.
Demonstrated skills in case management and patient care coordination are highly desirable.
Familiarity with the latest speech-language pathology assessment tools and therapy techniques is beneficial. This role requires a committed professional with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving patients’ quality of life through effective speech and swallowing therapy.

Pay: $100.00-$200.00 per hour
