About the role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Construction Helper to join our team. This position involves assisting skilled tradespeople and performing general labour tasks to support construction projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assist tradespeople (carpenters, welders, etc.) with daily tasks
Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools
Prepare and clean job sites, removing debris and hazards
Set up and dismantle temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding)
Operate basic hand and power tools as instructed
Dig trenches, backfill, and perform basic site work
Follow all site safety procedures and wear required PPE
Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas

Requirements

Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work
Strong work ethic and reliability
Basic knowledge of tools and construction practices (asset)
Valid driver’s license
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus ; willingness to learn is essential
Strong work ethic with attention to safety and detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass any necessary background checks or drug screenings required by the employer

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
