We are recruiting creative, enthusiastic, dedicated, and responsible CAMP LEADERS to help us offer a fun and active Summer Camp program. We strive to provide engaging programs that are sports oriented which allow children and youth to develop new skills while making friends and creating positive, lasting memories. Our camps have an emphasis on tennis and golf, while also providing opportunities for engagement in other sports activities, games and crafts and are offered to children between the ages of 4-12.
General responsibilities include:
- You will work in cooperation with team members to develop, organize and deliver (and participate in) age-appropriate, fun, and enriching camp activities for children.
- Role modeling good behavior including teamwork, listening, responsibility and initiative.
- Model good sportsmanship through enthusiastic participation and support.
- Supervise campers and ensure safe behavior throughout daily activities.
- Assisting campers in efforts to try new activities.
- Following daily schedule and assisting with planning and execution of activities.
- Create a positive rapport with all campers, parents, and other staff members.
- Maintain open lines of communication and work cooperatively with other staff members.
- Be aware of camper dietary/medical needs.
- Keep accurate records of incident reports and report immediately to the camp director.
Qualifications:
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification by first day of employment.
- Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
- Prior experience working or volunteering with school-aged children in a group setting
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Reference Check (issued as of March 30, 2023). Any related costs are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
- Reliable transportation to the Club.
- Must have the ability to participate in an outdoor natural setting during all weather conditions.
- Knowledge/ interest in sports (golf & tennis), games, songs, activities, and crafts (ages 4-12).
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems effectively.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
