Hours & Compensation

Ongoing need for new Supply staff team members to join our team. Resumes submitted to this posting may not be reviewed immediately.

Availability Monday to Friday

- Various Childcare Centre locations in Kitchener - https://ywkw.ca/early-learning-childcare

Pay Range: $22 to $29.62 per hour (based on current funding) + 2% in lieu of benefits
Hours/Shift: Scheduled based on needs of the program
This is a unionized position and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement with Unifor Local302.

In this Role, you will contribute to the Community by ...

Assisting in the planning and implementation of a stimulating, developmentally appropriate play-based program for children and their families
Taking an active role as part of the Centre’s professional child care team
Providing a warm and nurturing environment for children and families and act as a positive role model for both
Ensuring the health and safety of the children

Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the area of early childhood education and development.
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Ministry Registration # (asset)
Previous experience working with children
Knowledge of and familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act and use of environmental assessment tools.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, and the public.

Mandatory Qualifications

Current Vulnerable Sector Check document
Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C certification
