HR & Payroll Coordinator

Guelph, ON

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift | On-Site

Express Employment Professionals is conducting a confidential search for an experienced HR & Payroll Coordinator on behalf of a growing manufacturing company in the Guelph area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team where you'll play a key role in supporting Human Resources operations while managing payroll for both Canadian and U.S. employees. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Administration

Support the recruitment process, including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Track employee attendance, vacation, and benefits.
Assist with training coordination, policy updates, and internal communications.
Respond to employee questions and provide day-to-day HR support.

Payroll & Compliance

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for both Canadian and U.S. employees.
Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation and employment standards.
Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll-related reports.
Coordinate payroll summaries, adjustments, and reporting with the accounting team.
Support payroll audits and continuous process improvements.

Team & Administrative Support

Work collaboratively with management and department leaders to support HR initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Assist with additional HR and administrative responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Human Resources and Payroll experience.
Experience processing both Canadian and U.S. payroll.
Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation and employment standards.
Experience with payroll software (Dayforce, ADP, or similar) and ERP systems such as Business Central is considered an asset.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
