Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and personable Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to effectively promote products through demonstrations and upselling techniques. This role offers an engaging environment where your organizational skills and sales expertise will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or merchandising are highly valued. As a Sales Associate, you will be instrumental in driving sales, managing transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction across our store.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and technical explanations of merchandise
Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits effectively
Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities
Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure the store is tidy and inviting
Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with merchandising strategies
Utilize strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions and new products
Demonstrate effective time management to balance customer service with operational tasks
Uphold phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Requirements

Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
Prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technology sales preferred
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage customers effectively
Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively
Organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain store presentation standards
Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
Professional appearance and courteous phone etiquette
Ability to work well in a team environment with good organizational skills
Previous experience in upselling or technical sales is advantageous
