Full job description

Lacombe Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated and experienced Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and support a high-quality food and beverage experience for members, guests, events, and banquets.

Position Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager is responsible for running an efficient kitchen operation, maintaining consistent food quality, supporting staff development, and collaborating with the management team on day-to-day service, special events, and banquets.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including cooking and assisting staff to ensure consistency and quality in all food served.

· Hire, schedule, train, supervise, and support all kitchen staff.

· Work with the Front of House Manager on menu creation for daily service, special events, and banquets.

· Order ingredients and supplies in a manner that maintains appropriate inventory levels while reducing waste.

· Track and monitor inventory levels to support efficient kitchen operations.

· Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and adhere to all food handling and safety regulations.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

· Participate as a member of the management team and collaborate on events, banquets, and policy and procedure development.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring a combination of culinary experience, leadership ability, and strong organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include:

· Experience as a cook in a restaurant, catering, golf club, or similar food service setting.

· Experience managing, supervising, training, or scheduling staff.

· Food Handling and ProServe certification, or willingness to obtain required certifications.

· Effective communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

· Experience with inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction practices.

Compensation

This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package that includes benefits.
