Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical work that meets all industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to repairs, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience. This role is crucial in delivering optimal comfort and safety to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and service electrical components of HVAC systems.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the current Canadian Electrical Code and local regulations.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Present findings and options to customers, providing advice as needed/requested.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for quality and cost improvements.
- Complete approved repairs, improvements, or installations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete warranty paperwork/digital forms as required by manufacturers.
- Collect payment for work performed.
- Follow up through dispatching software for invoicing and future job needs.
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction upon completion of work.
Job Requirements
- Certified Journeyperson Electrician
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential electrical work, preferably within the HVAC industry.
- FSR certification considered an asset (Class B preferred)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to be bonded.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, kneel, squat, and work comfortably on ladders and in confined spaces.
- Proficiency with technology, including iPads and service software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Neat and clean appearance at all times.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
