Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter & Decorator to join our team. This role involves applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting, restoration, and related skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results however, students with sports backgrounds are welcome. Candidates should possess a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements
Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore appearance and durability
Use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and carpentry skills for surface preparation and finishing tasks
Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Communicate with clients and team members to coordinate work schedules and project details
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects
Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to decorating projects
Familiarity with restoration techniques and the use of various hand tools and power tools
Ability to read construction plans and schematics accurately
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Experience with caulking, rigging, carpentry, and working with schematics is preferred
Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
