Full job description

The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in our Accounting Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience and start a career in accounting.

We are recruiting for an open position

Hourly range = $22.00 - $24.00/hr

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing check proposals, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
Reimburse employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks.
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Reconciliation of petty cash.
Reporting sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
