How your pay adds up ($28.50/hour++)
$28.50/hour is just your hourly rate. Here's the full breakdown:
- Base pay – $25.50 an hour. That's $51,000 a year.
- Night shift premium – $3.00 an hour. That's an additional $6,000 a year.
- Your total rate for every hour worked – $28.50 an hour. That's $57,000 a year!
(This is based on 40 hours a week. All hours are evening shifts. You work 50 weeks a year, for 2,000 paid hours. You also get two weeks off, paid through your vacation pay.)
Plus, paid time off and holidays:
- Public holiday pay – $2,134 a year. Ontario has nine public holidays. You get paid for all nine.
- Premium pay for working eight holidays – $912 a year. We're closed Christmas Day.
- Vacation pay at 4%– $2,402 a year. Rises to 6%— 3weeks off/$3,603 a year after five years.
(This is based on working 40 evening hours a week in the four weeks before each holiday and working eight evening hours on each of the eight holidays we're open.)
Plus, benefits and perks:
- Extended health benefits (after 90 days): dental, vision, prescriptions, physio, massage and more. We pay 50% of your premium. Worth up to $2,700 per year for family coverage.

The non-negotiables
- At least 1 year making pizza. You must be able to work a line.
- Management or shift-lead experience. This is strongly preferred.
- Food Handler Certification. Or you're willing to get one.
- Comfort handling cash. You should be at ease with multiple payment types.
- Presence. You're someone the team listens to and customers remember.
This job is hands-on. You run the line, lead the team, make pizza, and run the store at night.
