About us
We are a leader in the engineering, manufacturing, and repair of composite and sheet metal structures for the commercial and defense aviation industry. We support major airlines and government operators and offer our teams exposure to a wide range of aircraft platforms. As part of our continued growth, we are creating new composites manufacturing capability within our organization.
Purpose
We are looking for an experienced composites manufacturing technician with 10+ years of hands-on experience to help build and structure this new activity. This is a new role suited for someone independent, motivated by the challenge of building processes, tooling, and best practices in a growing aerospace environment. The successful candidate will act as a technical reference for composites manufacturing and may be asked to support RFQs and proposals by providing technical input and feasibility assessments.
What you’ll do:
Establishing and executing composite manufacturing processes for aircraft components and assemblies
Assisting in selection of materials, layup methods, curing cycles, and manufacturing techniques
Supporting design and manufacturing of tooling, molds, jigs, fixtures, and templates
Leading industrialization from prototype to repeatable production
Developing and maintaining manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and internal standards
Acting as a subject matter expert for composite manufacturing and supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement
Providing technical input for RFQs, cost estimates, and proposals
Ensuring manufacturing activities comply with approved data, internal procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulations (Transport Canada, FAA, EASA)
Collaborating with Quality to address non-conformities and process improvements
Ensuring proper control of raw materials, finished parts, tooling, and manufacturing equipment
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Your ideal background :
- The ideal candidate holds a DEC or DEP in composite materials, aeronautics, aircraft maintenance, or a related technical field,
- At least 10 years of experience in aerospace composite manufacturing.
- Experience in tooling and process development in a low-volume, high-complexity environment is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual (French and English*) is a major asset.
* The position requires a very good knowledge of English, both oral and written. The position involves reading and understanding technical documents in English on a daily basis, especially from international companies, as well as regular communication with customers, suppliers and other international stakeholders.
What you’ll need :
- You are autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- You are able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, solve complex manufacturing problems, and collaborate effectively with engineering, quality, and operations teams.
- This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping a new manufacturing capability and growing with the organization
