Our team is currently hiring for an existing vacancy, a permanent part-time Clinical Director.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Plans and monitors all operational activities within the nursing department
-Direct management of all nursing employees.
-Oversees all human resource related functions for the nursing department.
-Manages and monitors nursing budgets, envelopes and strategic nursing fiscal plans and monitors occupancy.
-Ensures quality risk management activities are implemented and maintained, establishes/maintains clinical care programs to support the needs of all residents.
-Responds promptly to address concerns of residents and family members, mediates appropriate responses to those concerns and implements action plans.
-Reports and maintains quality nursing indicators and evaluates admission applications for compliance.
-Implements and participates in the Quality Assurance Program.
-Participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences, the strategic planning process, committees and other meetings, maintains an organized system of records management.
-Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the provincial College of Nurses.
-Must have a minimum of two (2) years working experience in a managerial or supervisor capacity in a healthcare setting, preferably in a retirement home.
-Must have demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities and posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Sound knowledge with implementing and administering quality assurance programs in a health care setting.
-Strong relationship building abilities and highly proficient planning and organizing skills.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
