Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Restaurant Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to lead our culinary team. In this dynamic role, you will craft authentic, flavorful dishes that delight our guests and uphold the highest standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining efficient kitchen operations. Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of authentic Indian dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
Manage food handling procedures to maintain hygiene, safety, and compliance with health regulations
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
Lead team management efforts by training new staff, scheduling shifts, and fostering a collaborative work environment
Ensure excellent food service by coordinating with front-of-house staff to meet guest expectations
Uphold food safety standards through regular inspections and adherence to sanitation protocols

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in a busy restaurant or culinary setting, preferably with Indian cuisine expertise
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry
Extensive food service experience with a focus on Indian dishes and traditional cooking methods
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of restaurant management practices including inventory control and food safety regulations
Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food handling, hygiene, and customer service excellence
