Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for transporting and organizing machine parts according to production needs, inside of manufacturing facility and outside in the yard.

Job Duties

Maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials;
Locate materials and supplies;
Transport various materials by hand or by operating forklifts;
Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials;
Inspect material handling equipment, structures, or materials to identify problems or defects;
Ensure that production receives needed parts on a timely manner.

Job Requirements

Able to work effectively both as an individual and a team member;
Able to perform tasks in multi-temperature environments;
Able to read and understand work orders;
Able to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time;
Able to perform strenuous physical labour;
Able to operate material handling vehicles and equipment.
